Hope you all had a good Christmas, we are having our official family Christmas next weekend when we can all be together. We did go over to the daughter and son in law's to see our one grandson open his Santa Claus haul. Then had them and BIL over here for tacos.

Warmer today, but cloudy, 55 later.

Riptides that's awesome. Nice to hear it went so well.

Lowes did not have Gunk degreaser, but the local auto parts store did. I think I have
some purple stuff in a half gallon jug, need to track that down. First the scraping and air blasting.
Got a can of regular and one of foam Gunk. After welding, grinding, sanding, new parts, I go over everything with denatured alcohol as a final cleaner
before painting. then the blue tape comes out. Isn't going to look like RNG's blue paint for sure. Just old Gravely rattle can red.
but long way to go before I get to painting.
First I have to learn how to weld.
Friend/pro welder coming over to teach me and work on this mower with me.
Want the final product to be a lot better than I know how to do at this point, though
I have stocked up on lots of grinding wheels.
Have to start somewhere.
There are some pretty easy straight runs that need to be done. Let's see if I can push the puddle...

Pretty messy here today, got up to 56, but no sun, and a light rain most of the day. Didn't get much done, but don't have too...

Hit a new high here of 65 degrees.... Mom did fracture her hip and it will have to mend on its own as they don't want to mess with it at 85 years old. Will be going to a rehab place next week for 4 to 6 weeks.

Good evening all. 56F this morning, cloudy and calm .5 in. in rain gauge. Clouds clear about 2PM, winds stayed light, and temps back to 70F because cold front was so late. woke up too late for organized ride, too wet for much leaf pickup, old friend showed up on his way to Florida for lunch. Will get a ride in tomorrow, have a couple of projects to work on as well.

Like many of you, we have also been enjoying some unseasonably high temperatures over Christmas. Winter came back to it's senses this morning and covered the rooftops in frost. The sun is yet to put in an appearance, yet going on the vapor trails, it's below the horizon glow looks to be attracting planes like moths to a flame.

A few weeks back the spell checker that is continually red lining whatever I write on tbn decided I ought to make more effort to try to use more over-the-Atlantic spelling. That's no hardship at all, however when I change words like vapour to vapor, I can still hardly believe I can get away with that without repercussions from long gone school teachers - or the one I am married to.

A very warm 48 right now...temperature will drop to about 40 this afternoon and some rain coming through.
Heading to White River Junction this morning to renew my driver's license about 0730 this morning, then I need to hook up the snow blower this afternoon (heavy snow on Thursday)

41F now couple more degrees will be high for today.

Boss call yesterday evening asking if I could come in for power swap outage....little mistake on someone part,sooo headed down to the valley for 8 soon.
Got feeling driveway going to need some grit...I'll find out soon.

Heard the same as Roy about plow able/blowing snow for Thursday....oh well it is winter but least day light getting longer.

55 going up to 69 today. Hard to believe it will be that warm, although will see low 20s by Friday night.

Just got back from spending Christmas in NC. Nice visit with wife's family. Our sons and their wife and fiancée coming in today for Christmas gathering.
