Good morning!!!!

Busy day that I didn't get much done just one of those days rain on and off every time I went out to do something. Brushed the dogs, repaired the pressure washer.
Did watch a Yankee Double header not doing to bad this year for mostly a second string team
Well think it's bed time before I start watching an Audie Murphy movie.
Hope for nice weather tomorrow so I can test the pressure washer.
I wanted to watch the yankee double header, and had no internet since 205pm.

So a few minutes ago i crawled upstairs, scooted down the hall, openned the door to where the modem is, and it's power cord is laying on the floor. So tomorrow i get to ask the wife what she was doing in there to unplug it. I even had her go up and unplug and replug the brick from the wall to reboot it. Guess she didn't see the cord hanging loose.

So an 8 hr self inflicted outage......

No doubt that NYY, Houston and LAD are the best teams this year, and it’s true that the Yankees still have 12-14 guys on the DL. Sometimes the chemistry is better with the backups, they have the best record in the MLB so something is working.
Yankees had 3 injuries today.

Watched dodger Os game tonight since it was on fox.

Good evening all. 74F this morning, partly cloudy, light wind. Wind got brisk again today, sky stayed partly cloudy, high temp was 92F HI 99. Got the trolling batteries charged on the boat, now to see if they hold a charge. Got most of the log sawed to firewood length, got a little more chainsaw work to do. Also cleaned up some live oak limbs cut down earlier, and help wife with clean out back porch, including removal of screen door sill, need some help with Kriol on that.
RNG what are the cylinders plated with?
Kyle I remember the coolant issues well. Way oil would get on the coolant surface, and cast iron would get run periodically. They did put skimmers to help with the way oil, clean and flush the only cure for cast iron. I think the chip conveyors would get changed to magnetic to slow the contamination.
Ron hope you get seat time soon.
Buckeye, sounds like another good report
Don, good luck with Fall garden and Okra shakes. Not sure I get interested in okra shakes :confused3:
mpsmith 60, :welcome:
Jay glad you enjoyed the video
RNG hangovers are nature way to hydrate without alcohol :D
Scrambler good luck with trench!
Drew have fun in the parade!!
Randy, Cardinals are playing better at the right time, If pitch continues could go all the way. BTW Adam Wainwright has like a .200 lifetime batting average.
prayers for all.

Good morning all. Plenty of sunshine this morning, which should help dry out the grass cut two days ago after a sharp shower last night. Even before that it was very doubtful that it would stay dry long enough to make hay, so a friend is going to wrap it and use it for his cattle.

Our son is staying with us for a couple of days. For once I have resisted the temptation to use him as slave labour and we enjoyed a few hours yesterday afternoon doing a bit of fishing.

I don't think I have ever seen okra, let alone tasted it. My wife tells me it is sold here in a few specialist grocers under the name "lady's fingers". Fortunately I've never met ladies that fit those okra descriptions either. Is it any good at sealing leaky tires ?

Of course I have no personal knowledge, but I've read that okra was brought into this country from Africa. I've not only been quite fond of it all my life, but it was my first money crop when I was 11-12 years old. Cut it every other day and sold it to the local grocery stores. I think it's most popular coated with cornmeal and fried. Many who like it fried will not eat it steamed or stewed because it tends to be "slimy" that way, but not fried or pickled. I'd rather have pickled okra than pickled cucumbers myself.

good morning all. Warm humid morning, showers all around, supposed to on and off thunderstorm all day.
Not going to be an outside day.

Morning taken up by Garden Club meeting. I grew birdhouse gourds for the ladies, and am taking in six of the largest, and let
them fight over them. Might take my truck down to tire shop this afternoon, good rainy day job, and get front tires replaced.
Also want to check if they got my motorhome tires in. A profitable day for Michelin.

Claye, your pics always cool us off here in the hot zone. Some days you sure wish for a snowball.

72 and fog, not going up any. Got a small shower last night.

72 will feel good for a change. Should have waited until today to do the 4 hours of chain saw and pole saw work that I did Wednesday back in the woods...cleaning up fallen tree and limbs from the bad storm we got in June. Can now drive tractor around the trail, but still have some firewood to cut later. Trimmed up around a couple of tree stands and placed a new trail cam...got a bear checking out the area just a few hours later.

Hard to believe it's Friday already. Enjoy!

Good morning! 73˚F heating up to 95˚F sunny.

Saw the T-Coil sign at the movies last night so my hearing aid will be able to tap into it when costco re-programs them next month.
Since I use the close caption on the TV at home I decided to use the movie theater's closed caption device. it sits in the cup holder and has a flexible stand that you can adjust to your height. Other people cannot see it. The close caption on the TV is better because when viewing the cc on the movie device your eyes unfocused on the movie screen and focus on the closer cc. But it does help especially when the people talk in that British accent.IMG_3134.JPGIMG_3135.JPG

Drew, Dosn't everyone know that?

Need to pour second cup of coffee. 62° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 84° with 100% chance of rain. Had hoped to get lawn cut yesterday. But off and on rain all day. Same today. Should be a good day to plan tomorrows projects.

mpsmith60 :welcome:

Don, I need to check on the hearing aids wife had. They were top of the line a couple years ago. Hearing guy was not available yesterday when I visited Sams Club.

Good Morning All.

I'll attribute some of the good season to chemistry but a lot has to go to the age of the players a bunch of young guys who still love the game more than the big paycheck and are just happy to have made it to the show and for others like DJ given a chance . It's human nature I guess as a supervisor at the PD the new guys, rookies, were always excited to put on the uniform and after a few years it was just another day.

Good Friday Morning. Friday the 13th ..... be safe!

It's a very pleasant 70° this morning but, we'll see about 94° this afternoon.

Everything to know about Okra;

Okra, or "Gumbo," from Africa | Archives | Aggie Horticulture

David .... congrats on selling your old tractor.

Drew .... if a "girl fight" breaks out, over your gourds, at the Garden Club ....... GET VIDEO!

The Astros didn't fare well with the "A's" this week.

Everyone have an excellent Friday.

Prayers to all.

I talked some friends from Mexico into trying okra for the first time. She came back and told me, "NO WAY"....

Wifey brought me coffee. Glued the neck back on the ukulele that got sat on by a kid... Time to head to work.

Astros bats fairly quiet last two games.

Good morning all. 55 heading to mid 70's today
Plan for today take out the power washer to make sure there are no other issues before my daughter's boyfriend takes it for the weekend. I'm sure that will turn into a project once I start spraying.
Gutter Guy showing up today only a week late
My wife will be watching my grandsons latter this afternoon until my son gets home for work so I'm going to pick up some pizza and go spoil the kids a little
Drew I see you are a Michelin fan I put them on my avalanche when I first got it they rode nice but didn't get the milage out of them replaced with Generals rode and handled just as good lasted longer and I saved some cash.
Don not a fan of artificial milkshakes. My first job was in my uncle's dairy cleaning bottles then moved up to making icecream and working in the dairy bar. Okra just won't cut it.
BEF maybe wife wanted some attention and figured that unplugging the router you would get off TBN lol
Have a good Friday all and stay safe.

Tire brands, like everything else, may be part of a much bigger company. Years ago, my brothers were B. F. Goodrich dealers, but at that time Goodrich, Michelin, and Uniroyal were all owned by the same company. Even more mergers now. I had pretty good luck with B. F. Goodrich, but right now I'm driving a 2017 Ford Escape that came with 235/50R18 Michelin Latitude Tour HP tires, and with nearly 26k miles, they're getting close to having half the tread worn off. (Yep, I still have my tread depth gauge). I did get a nail in one of them once; no other problems or complaints.
