Toppop, sorry for the flooding. My friend East of you in Milton DE has 10.4 inches on his rain gauge and rising; local roads flooded, a real mess.
6 inches in two hours here would allow bass fishing in my front yard...

got the trailer hooked up, most of the stuff loaded, ready to leave early tomorrow. All the tires checked, everything seems to work.

My yard is down to a small lake, and most roads that didn't wash out are passable. Never saw it like this in the 43 years I've lived here.

Hang in there, Randy.

Think how many feet of snow that would be if it came a few months from now...or worse, freezing rain.

Drew, I wish I could take care of your deer problem before you get back from your trip.

Raining hard here, but floods are to the south of us.

Decided to not go sit in the rain to watch HS football. Big game tonight.

Another pig roast tomorrow night, but this one is catered, not cooking this one.

I don't know about that maybe you should pay. The FBI told our local hospital to pay the ransom so they could get their system working again, They paid in bitcoins (??) and then layed off 9 medical people.

I thought it was the IRS calling again, about putting me in jail if I don't call them back. Lol

My Mom's has had three calls from the "IRS" wanting payment, it was also in the local paper that many people are being called - one even sent money.

They call me weekly, in broken english, using phrases grammatically incorrect.

I only answer numbers in my contact list. All others can leave a message. If they don't leave a message the number is blocked. I average blocking two numbers a day.

Eric do you get a lot of unwelcome solicitor calls in the UK?

Good morning all. Our grandson is coming over and I had hoped to take him fishing for the first time, but with a forecast of rain coming our way and the sky already turning dark, it will now have to be some other day.

Randy, I have never seen even anything like the rain you had. Hate to think of the havoc it would cause if we got even a small fraction of that. Fishing off the porch or through a window could be interesting though ...

Talking of the things you can do through a window, I surely can't be the only one who has taken the occasional shot from inside the house? Perhaps it is also a good way to practice for those who do a bit of bow shooting from a blind. I find air rifles no problem, neither is subsonic .22 rimfire with a silencer on, but anything supersonic does tend to raise a few objections from wife and dog :)

Don, legislation has cut down on the number of nuisance phone calls but we still get the odd one or two. The house phone number we were given was previously used by a local laundry business that closed down. Most of the dissapointment with unexpected calls comes when those ringing realize we won't be ironing their shirts.

47 and rain right now...looks like rain most of the weekend. That would put a hold on some outdoor activities, but we do need the rain, so it's a worthy sacrifice.
Heading in to work to help on inventory....hope we're done by noonish.

66 and rain...I think it may stop by the time I need to walk out the back door with my bow, but it will be close.

Eric, must admit I've shot the .22 through the window, but nothing bigger. I did run the chainsaw in our old house one time. Took about 5 seconds to smoke up the whole place. I was using it to saw a hole in the floor before I had any tools a few decades ago.

Randy, I just looked at the NWS accumulated rainfall map and looks like you got the most (assuming your in the lower MD Delmarva general area).

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 56° with rain this morning. Heading to 65° with more rain. .72" of rain yesterday. Over 3" of rain in 3 day is making things soggy. I am getting a few things cleanup in shop and barn. Today will be another day of cleanup in the 2 buildings.
Randy, please be careful with all that water around you.
Drew, have a safe trip.
Eric, wngsrd, I would have to think a long time before shooting anything larger than a .22 out a window. My ears ring just thinking about it.
Good Morning All.

Full blown sunshine for the first time in about a week for today and tomorrow. Withstood the heavy rains with minimal damage one job to look at then see what I can get into

Good morning all. 57 his morning going to 74 with a 40% chance of rain. Have had 3 3/4 in of rain from this but no flooding that I could see. Going to check on a walk behind snow blower. We sometimes get 2+ feet of snow so it will have to be 2 stage. Then hope to get more framing done on the ceiling of the shop, need to make room for R30 ins.

RNG, My second car was a 65 chevy II that was a pretty blue with a white rag top. Very pretty car and I think the colors will work well on your van as well.

Randy, You need an amphibian car just to get groceries, Be careful.

Eric I have killed a few deer from the windows of the farm house. Mostly the kitchen window. One year mom turned the kitchen window so the end was against the window so I sat at the far end and shot a deer. Hope I NEVER do that again. That day I learned to always stick the barrel out the window before you shoot. It was only a 12 Ga 3" mag so it was plenty loud + the shock waves bouncing off of the walls. The things we do when we are young.

Have a great day. Ed

Good morning! 56˚ partly cloudy (they say when the sun comes up) and high only in the 80s.

We had fire drill practice last night. Full gear with air pack keeps getting heavier for some reason. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to turn off our new electronic air packs, I can't figure out why they make it so difficult - must remember hold down yellow button three seconds . . . And push the yellow button twice (full second between each push) to stop the PASS (personal alert safety system) device from alarming which goes off when you don't move enough.

I think our VFD priority will have to be to recruit younger people, we are 90% over 60.

I just went back and looked at one of my Good Morning post in 2013 when we just hit 10,000 post. I predicted we would hit 100,000 post by 2023 but in 3 years we are over 50,000 so I will have to change the prediction to 2019.

Good morning, we are celebrating Finnly's 9th birthday today. There will be a pinata and cake, and maybe a pin the tail on the donkey.

We babysat a friend's 4 year old daughter last night. She's playing with small plastic dinosaurs right here next to me. I'm glad my kids are a bit older and a bit more "settled down" now, but I also love the almost totally innocent energy of a 4 year old. Not perfectly innocent, but almost. I had to tell her we don't talk back to moms and dads in this house.

Glad I was awake early, all 3 of our smart phones went off with an amber alert about 7 am.

A million things to do, but not sure which few might get my attention...Have a great day.
