71F and .28 inches rain yesterday.

Off to friends for potluck brunch.

Got the flail put back together and mowed along the drive and the coconut palms.

Be safe
Have a great day.

First cup of coffee has been poured. 50° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 74° with mostly sunny skies. Should be able to get some small projects completed today. This is my kind of weather. Sad day yesterday. Our good friend and fellow TBNer passed away yesterday. Jinman posted in this thread many mornings. RIP Jim. Good Morning All.

Definitely, Jim will be missed. Prayers for his family.

Drew. I was quite fortunate to take shop my freshman year, the only college prep kid in shop. Family moved to a much smaller town before my sophomore year and school was too small (35 in my class) to allow me to continue. Those basic classes in drawing, metal, and work have come back to me many many times, moreso than most of the other classes.to this day when I have a project I start with a pencil and make drawings.

Still drizzling rain cloudy and cool. Five deer playing in back yard a button buck among them strutting his stuff on his back two legs fight playing I guess

utter downpour in Beaufort County, but I had a nice quiet afternoon watching a netflix movie about moonshiners in Franklin County VA. Great movie and despite the action, relaxing in its own way.

Now to steam some fresh beans my friends in Delaware gave me. As I've also been enjoying their tomatoes.

got my car off the dolley ok, no nasty noises and it drove fine, thank goodness. All in all a fine Sunday, though I bet we get several inches of rain the way it has been coming down in buckets for what seems like hours. And the water just disappears into the sandy soil; there is no erosion from it.

update: 3.01 inches of rain so far and it's not leaving any time soon. glub glub

A beautiful day in Maine. High 74, full sun, light breeze. The next three days are supposed to be the same, just a few degrees cooler=even better. :D

This morning on the way back to the field a doe was standing under an apple tree next to the lane, having breakfast I guess. I was within 40 feet before she decided she maybe should run into the woods. Just stared at the tractor coming straight toward her for the longest time. I've noticed that several times, the deer aren't immediately spooked by a tractor. If I had been walking that deer would have been gone before I knew it was there. What's up with that? 'Deer in the headlights', poachers jack lighting, the deer don't seem to process the information.

I have 3-4 crows that keep an eye on me in the field most of the day. I guess crows have boring lives. Once in a while they take a time-out to harass a hawk that is passing through. They won't let the tractor get close to them. I know crows are a lot smarter than deer.

Boy, it was beautiful here in Bethel too...couldn't ask for a more pleasant day.

I'm sure Vermont will figure out a way to tax it...

I can count the number of crows I have ever killed on one hand and have some fingers left over. Can't say the same about deer. But then I don't sit in the crowstand for hours at a time either:D Although I have tried to clear them out from our pecan trees many a time. They seem to know if you have a gun in your hand or not.

A gorgeous day here as well, made it to 80 here at home.
Nice leisurely brunch with a dozen friends. Leisurely in that we started about 9 and nobody left before noon. Great food to go with the camaraderie.
Had good intentions of mowing a bit, but when we got home I talked myself out of it and am settled in front of the Broncos game.
