Good morning!!!!

74 degrees in the Inner Banks going up only to 84 today, big switch, due to heavy rain coming in.
And I have a lawn full of equipment that I have decided to just let get wet. I promised my family I would do nothing today and get my health back. And boy do I feel better this morning, though woke up with cramps in my right leg, I'm sure from driving that truck through a million stop lights yesterday. Need to go food shopping later today, and will get some sports drinks and see if that helps.

my new welder, that I haven't used since I got it, for good reason, is whining in anticipation after seeing all these welding pictures. They really ought to be in the welding section they are so good...
you really can make what you want, if you have the talent. Very impressive and motivating to do similar.

I'm glad I took mechanical drawing in high school; at least I know how to measure and wood shop taught me how to do set ups and jigs. I was the only boy in our small school in the academic track that continued to take wood shop all through high school. Boy was that a good education. Useful too. I haven't used many cosines lately...

have a nice Sunday y'all....;)
see, I'm learning.

I'm really sorry to read about Jim (Jinman)...a long time TBNer. My deepest sympathies for his family.

49 right now...feels a bit chillier, actually. High today is going to be 73 and clear.

52F clear sky temps reaching mid 70's.
Nice change in weather from last 3 days, think I'll take trimmer for couple hour stroll this morning than just do some light puttering.

Enjoy the day all.

65 cloudy and breezy, heading to only 78.

I tilled and planted 5 food plots yesterday, so of course we got our biggest rain of the summer last night - 1.19 inches. I'll go check for wash out later today, but always glad to get the rain.

Drew, glad you're feeling better. I think I'll follow your lead and take it easy today, too.

rswyan, I've never seen such a nice saw horse, especially when compared to my flimsy 2x4 horses.

Well, my favorite college teams won yesterday, so makes the day a bit better.

73* and cloudy. Felt a few drips outside when feeding the horses and letting the chickens out. Nowhere near the heavy storms were were supposed to get. S.A. Meteorologists wrong once again. Sigh.

Buppies,

It would be my pleasure I'm sure.

Are you anywhere near Blacksburg/Covington/Clifton Forge by chance ?

I have extended family down in that neck of the woods ... or did ...

Sounds like you're heading towards the tail end of this cold thing ... with me, having it head down into my chest is the last thing it does before it clears up (usually gradually)

Hope you feel better soon.

Yes you are correct. At least I slept last night but this thing is kicking my butt and now wife has it ugh....
Cloudy dreary day here to say the least 68 now high of 74 later. Will try and pump up front tires on walk behind grass at other property beyond out of control and Z Turn does not like tall grass with mulching deck on

67 right now headed to 83. Missed the rain yesterday but looks like the humidity still packed up and left.

Drew try raisins for the cramps. They have twice the potassium per ounce as bananas. Sports drinks seem to work faster for me but I try to eat some raisins during the day when it's bad.

Nice welding projects. Reminds me I need to get on some of mine.

home sweet home.
made it.
but I paid the price for driving when very tired. And sort of sick...but I'm getting better on that front from a/c and eating more.

And the price was paid for my inattention, when I pulled in close to chat with the lady at the end of the Bay Bridge tunnel, the pay booth. When I pulled out, I admit to goosing it a little, certainly didn't slowly take off. And I learned how all too well now the operating mechanics of my fancy steerable car dolley. Instead of fixed wheels, these are on a steerable suspension that tracks with the pull vehicle. Less scrub for sure and a better pull.

And I found out that when I pulled away from the toll booth with a turn to the right, since I was close in, that the dolley tracks by going in the opposite direction. And it steered itself right into the concrete abutment. BAM. womp womp womp Oh Lord....There was a state cop sitting about fifty feet away, if he didn't hear the noise he likely saw the parts of allegedly unbreakable plastic land near his cruiser. I saw him get out and pick them up...

one bloody inch. But what an inch. Blew the tire, dented the chrome rim, broke the plastic cover to bits, but that would have been ok....IF, the steerable wheel did not go in a direction it shouldn't have, being smashed over by the concrete and the mechanism seems to have hyper extended, and drove into the side of my new Avalon. Dented the door so it almost won't open and ruined the quarter panel. So between the damage I did to the too low air spoiler in front driving the car onto the dolley, and this bonehead move, I probably did 2 grand worth of damage to my car. And it's the first scratch I have put on a car since age 17. Really. I just couldn't figure out what went wrong; I wasn't that close...

when the car comes off, the dolley gets fixed and put on Craigs List. Next time I rent a basic ugly Uhaul model that will likely do just fine if I ever have to do this again. But I had the dolley from the motorhome, and pulling my car down with the truck was such a good idea...

hey, no scratches on me, just my pride seriously hurt and stuff can be fixed.
And I'm here, yippeee.
now for another nap.

ready for the rain tomorrow but need to get a few things under cover, those things with motors on them. The plows can sit in the lawn and get a bath until I put them away. The trucker was done and gone by the time I got there. I saw the golf cart and at least knew I didn't have any work to do.

back in business and ready to rock.
at 1/4 speed.
well, tomorrow.

Dang toll pay booths. Glad you're in 1 piece and HOME!
