Good morning!!!!

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 5.2C and it's presently 12.5C, off&on partly cloudy or dark rain clouds [which it's doing now] yet calm. There was 1.3mm in the gauge @ 0900 and raining now.

So I didn't 'crash' yesterday with the new tablet... perhaps it will take a while to work its 'magic'.

With the rain predicted for today and through to Tuesday I can't see too much happening around "Wagtail Park". Mind you, haven't seen the wombat in a week so that's positive news.

That's about it, take care all.

Smooth tasting coffee this morning. 52° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 78° with partly cloudy skies. Grocery shopping went good. Got grass cut. Only did areas around my buildings. Back field had not grown enough to cut. No plans for today yet.
Peonies are in full bloom.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
65 going up to 76 in wet weather coming in
slept well, up early enjoying my coffee

no plans for today, might look for a few final veggie plants to put in
now that area I had radishes growing has been cleared out.

will be interesting to see how new pergola handles this rain. The ground underneath
is on a slope, so the whole thing leans a little to one side, which should be good for drainage.

I would love to look out and see Ron's cranes in the back yard. They must need some woods to go hide in/nest but
not sure what a crane house looks like. Hmmm, looked that up. Cranes don't lie down, they sleep usually standing on one foot in water.
Apparently more than a million sandhill cranes migrate.
quite the ability to balance if one can fall asleep on one foot. Not something we can do...

that peony is very pretty, bet it smells sweet.
Peony flowers are so pretty but heads are heavy and they really need cages to hold them up.

hope you all have a nice weekend.

Good morning TBN!!
64 this morning. May hit our first 90 today. Possible Tstorms late.

Spent yesterday walking the Plasma cutter. Got a 5' x 12' piece of the old tank that I will use on the new bridge. That was about it and it was enough. I was in shade all day but it was still quite hot.
Todays agenda remains to be seen.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

66 and wet, going to 83.

Nice land and view, FWT. Hope the deal works out. Picked a homesite yet?

Got a little seat time yesterday, moving my firewood box, the pallet of wood I split, and moving a big flat rock to use as a step...something my wife wanted. Unfortunately, I did it all between 11am and 3 pm with a hot sun. Got several other small chores done, and then got more seat time in the recliner with a cold bottle of water, where I belonged. :)

Good morning, the low is 53 and going up to 73°F. Wind N 5 mph. Sunny!

With a North wind I cannot fell the trees, not can I put up the roof for the tractor shed.

I guess I will sort out the new storage location for the BH for next winter.
I also still have the meter to install.
It is a matter of how badly I want to feed the flies.
All of this is for next winter and winters to come.

Have a safe day all

thomas you've been working hard on that firewood. Get it all nice and dry and organized by time October comes.
stacking firewood can be fun, how do you handle the lumpy ones and oddballs without weakening the stack.
And of course you can't put too many round ones by themselves as they tend to roll off the top
stacking firewood out in the open without end supports takes some skill I never quite mastered.
I always looked for a tree on one end at least.

Bill try not to be fly chow.

Good morning! 77˚F heading to the mid 90s. S wind no rain, cloudy skies.

I'm 1/2 way through reloading the dry riverbed with rocks but with a neighbor's aloha party, mowing the yard, and water volleyball I will not finish today.

Morning all , 67 going up to 76 and rain soon
Bought the K-Archer 11" t-5 power washer attachment.
Works pretty well, certainly stops the splashback when pw the cement deck.
Still need the wand for edges and to move the "cleaned" dirt off to the grass.

Got about 1/3 of the lower deck PW after work yesterday.

L4N - I use Bugballs with TangleTrap sticky coating for the deer and horse flies.
With lots of deer, these became a huge problem at our pool.
I coat the bugballs and hang them from shepards hooks after a good coating of the sticky stuff.
Within a week or so they are covered and we can use the pool without fear of getting chewed on, Been using them for 4 years, successfully.

Deer eat our peonies as soon as they open.

Two nights ago out walking the dog. go out door and hear load screaming. We interrupted a just born fawn and mom. The fawn could barely walk. Took the dog down the path so the doe/fawn had time to make their slow getaway. So them again yesterday morning out back. None the worse for wear.

More powerwashing if the rain isn't too bad. Food shopping later.

Be well,

Morning all;

Damned rain rain and more rain. If I level on low ground I'd be thinking of an Ark.
Had a breakfast and two cups of coffee, then just sitting here typing this.
Not much planned for today. Will finish taping off the windows on the new door prior to staining it.
Other then that who knows.
Thinking I may have a third cup of coffee, just a few more trips:)

Stay safe and enjoy

74F and partly cloudy @ 10:00, calling for a high of 78F for the day.

Got another 6 tomato seedlings repotted first thing yesterday.

Was a great day yesterday to get a little weeding done and I managed to recruit The Woman to assist.

We banged out the northwest planting bed in probably a 1/2 hour or less. That included me digging out 2 oak saplings that had deep tap roots.

Heavily overgrown with thistle but it came up easily:

IMG_3692 copy.jpg

As The Woman was finishing up the weeding I took the dump cart around back and loaded 3 bags of black mulch in it and started getting that placed.

Had that almost done when it started spitting rain and The Woman headed inside to fix some lunch. I stayed until I had the mulch placed.

Just about that time the skies opened up and it started pouring and I headed inside and ate lunch.

Headed back out after lunch and was just about to load another 3 bags of mulch into the dump cart when it started pouring again and I threw in the towel and came on inside, soaked.

Decided to grab a shower and have The Woman lower my ears before my hair got too out of hand.

Boots got soaked while I was outside and I noticed they had a couple of blow-outs so decided it was maybe time to splurge on a new pair.

Woman was concerned about the stuff I had recently planted but I had checked it earlier and everything had made it trough the night undisturbed. Not wanting to take any chances I went ahead and got everything that I had done the day before caged up and protected.

After that we headed off to Tractor Supply down in Massillon to get the new boots.

Ran by Menards after that and picked up a bunch of stuff with the rebate check: some cheap pocket-tee's for working outside and a pair of nice cargo shorts which were all on sale, we both got some nice work gloves, another large live trap which She wanted, paper towels and a few other items. Still have about 1/3 of the rebate check left.

Swung by Raj's on the way home and got Indian for dinner which was very tasty.

Got home around 21:30.

Amazon had delivered the Lodge bacon press and it was waiting at the front door for us. Packing was not all that great and I was a little concerned that it might be cracked or broken if it had been mishandled. Turned it only a a couple of chips in the seasoning on the edges so dodged a bullet there.

Agenda for today:

Will pull out the hay wagon with the Kubota and get back to work on coating fence posts. Will probably do that in the shade over on the driveway that leads down to the barn.

Possibly a little glyphosate spraying once things dry out a bit.

Get the tomatoes I moved outside moved around to the shelves in the back.

See what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Saturday ... (y)

Good Morning
72° and not changing much, kind of grey and a few passing sprinkles, thunderstorms likely after lunch.

Yesterday started flying RC planes at the club field. When the president is at his Bedminster, NJ club, my home field is just inside the boundary of the airspace that is shut down, including RC and drone flying. The club is nearby, but just outside that airspace, so I’ll be there more often.

From there, I met some friends for lunch, followed by a Zoom meeting with the state bureau of aviation.

After the meeting, it was off to Costco, a little time on the Lazer when we got back. Heated up some leftover chicken parm for dinner, and then it was music time.

Today started with making pancakes and then an apple crisp.
I made the discovery that a good sharp peeler works as well on flesh as it does on apples in the process.
Not sure what is in store for today, the weather will dictate that, but it doesn’t look good for anything outside.

66°F and .09 inches rain.

Long, tiring, but successful day yesterday. I honestly thought I was going to get all those doors painted, but by the time I was done only 5 sets, 10 doors. At least they look good.

Prayers for all
Be safe
