.42 of rain, still have showers around with 44ー.
I stood up from the sofa yesterday, kinda stumbled, so I was going to sit back down, one leg gave way, I twisted to my right and grabbed for the sofa, which I missed. Ended up on my knees and nose, skinned my nose and knuckle, stood up and declared how ridiculous it was, got cleaned up and went on my way. Still not sure what exactly happened. Got a nice band aid on my nose though.
Hope y誕ll faired better. LOL
Topps, my first time up in the morning, I do my version of the "slow roll"...I sit upright on the edge of the bed with my feet on the floor, then since my knees are not so great, I push with my hands on top of my knees to help reduce the pressure on them...All this after I spend a few seconds, "grabbing my snap"....
You take it easy until your procedure.
Snow, snow, and more snow....(and boo boo). You folks be careful up there. Ramman, my kid was praying for a reason not to go back to school today (typical 4th grader). Too bad he wasn't up there. I'll defer to our northern crew as how to best heat up a garage or barn.
At one time my retirement dream was to have a float plane tied up to my dock as my home is on the lakeside.
I had the ideal 'fun' aircraft, a Piper PA14 /180 hp/ on floats that I bought at a bargain price of $4000. back then.
I was in the process of doing a major OH when a stranger arrived wanting to buy it 'as is'.
I told him,' not for sale' but $10,000. in cash as is was a persuasion hard to resist. Sold!
At that point my total outlay in repairs was a mere $100. plus my spare time.
Still think of the 'what if' had I refused that offer.
If only you still had that plane.....another...."the one that got away" story. I've never flown in a plane with floats. I hear you have to be a sailor and a pilot on the same trip. Cursing and tall tales combined.
Thank you all for the compliments on my daughter's artwork. I wish she did more of it.
Mostly, congrats on the distance...that's a lot of pedaling.
Drew, hope the ear concoction helps. I meant to reply sooner about your comment about a 6 cyl being smoother than a 4. I agree, the power pulses of a 4 are spread further apart every rotation of the crank, and so the pulses seem bigger. I have a 600cc single cylinder motorcycle, and it has quite a pulse effect. IMO, the higher pulse effect, the more tiring, if not properly smoothed out with really good motor mounts and drive line cushioning. OTOH, some motor designs just shake more than others.
RNG, did you know that the sound proofing sheets you are laying in your van turn sound waves into heat? Very small amounts, but it is an energy transformation thing. I need to do the same thing to my small car to help quiet it down...probably never happen. I have figured out the cheapest way to turn an Altima into a Cadillac. Put on the Sony noise cancelling headphones we bought my daughter (that she refuses to wear)....don't worry, they let normal conversation come through fairly well. They just mute the continuous noise.
