Hiked down and back up from the bottom of this canyon. Such a beautiful place this time of year.

42 outside right now, may get into the low ------- 80's today. Yep.

Still under the weather, but managed yesterday.

Had to put a cat down yesterday. Lucky, his name, picked up under a culvert by my daughter and brought home. He had thirteen good years.

Managed to get the back burn piles burned, now I can shuffle more wood to the back. Major accomplishment. Maybe I can get the front yard cleared of wood and rounds this weekend. LOL.

Hope all have a great day, and a good start to the weekend. Be safe.

Good Morning,
Ct, 34 to start going to low 60’s. Another sunny and beautiful bright blue skies type of day. We will have 4 grands starting around 12 noon so need to get a few things done before the onslaught 😉

The summer job we weren't allowed to load and unload in T-shirts, although unloading I usually bent the rules, but loading was ALWAYS long sleeved shirts
Bill, the guys that load the hot asphalt have to wear these heavy canvas jackets. I’m only required to wear a hard hat, work boots and long pants. Of course in the dead of winter there is a lot more clothing on me than that. 😂
Phil, wear your heavy duty glasses please...
Drew, doing that kind of work you need a full face shield, safety glasses are fine for normal lathe work but that thing could explode in a second, damaging facial skin.
Hiked down and back up from the bottom of this canyon. Such a beautiful place this time of year.
Billy, beautiful pictures and a breathtaking hike up in the mountains. Looked to be a great day hiking with Della. 😁

Hope all have a blessed Good Friday 🙏

Good morning TBN!!
40 this morning with high in the 80s. For the next 10 day they are showing no lows below 60 and all highs are above 80. I am so ready for that!!

Got back in the tank yesterday since the wind died down. Ran a couple of tanks of fuel run through it but then for some reason it is getting too hard to pull. Not sure what would do that so brought it to the garage and that is my agenda for today.
Also work on the garage hose connection. Turns out the anti-siphon is leaking. I had another on the shelf from a frozen burst but as one would expect it was a different style. Got another ordered from Amz and it will be here today.
Looking like the best part ot the day will be in the garage.

Time for a second cup.
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Good Morning to all who Celebrate! currently 52° heading to a high of 79° clear skies.

Mowing is all done, just in time to do it again this weekend. 'tis the season. ZT is running like a watch, but needs new blades soon.
Farm boss ran well with new filter, dropped the smaller half of the tree with it and placed the pieces away. Think I'll build a log deck closer to the splitter rather than spending the time to dice it all up.

Took the blade off of the Kubota finally, only to find that because of the sway, the 3 point sway adjustment had been rubbing on the right rear tire. My own stupid fault. Will take care to avoid that in the future. Swapped grapple for bucket to tackle Mount Tanbark, ready for the weekend. Boss took off on Good Friday along with the other half of the office, so I'm here holding down the fort.

Sister, Husband and Nephew are coming for Easter after being tentatively not coming, so looking forward to seeing the little guy again. Parents had a good trip to the shore, they want to do one more trip in May before the season officially opens.

Y'all stay safe out there and be well! Enjoy your Easter!
Prayers for those ailing and recovering!

Morning all, 39 going to 74 and sunny.
So cold a bee froze on one of my bushes.
Still in negotiation to buy used truck, probably settle today.

Maple branch that broke in last weeks winds, fell in this weeks winds.
Damaged the pear tree, will see what I can do to help it.

Got the M18 high torque impact, the M12 just wasn't up to the job. Tried it on the tractor lugs, easy off.

First mowing of the season.

Back tot the day job,
Be well,

Stuck out in the cold

great pictures Ken.

nice breakfast downtown with friend.
was served coffee by retired police chief of Solebury, who comes in early to help out.
and also saw guy who built my third home locally, we were all local firemen together.
owner of restaurant used to work for me, took over insurance agency when I left, and was a fire chief also.
so definitely a hangout spot for EMS.
I had the Karen breakfast sandwich.
big sign saying no complaining.........
so of course I had to complain ;)
it had a lot of spinach in it which I liked and was cooked perfectly.
trying to avoid the greasy meats.
home fries were boring except addition of some sweet potato bits in there made
them interesting. I refrained from pouring ketchup (salt and sugar) all over them.

and then the fellow who was a local builder and whose dream home I bought almost for a song 40 years ago when he had to sell
it due to a divorce, he told me his new wife owned a vegan restaurant in town. She also owns the largest jewelry store downtown.
Clearly he married well and good for him. Always well dressed and groomed, guessing his wife
might have something to do with that. I've known him, and his late father, all my life so fun to see how this all turns out. And with whom.
In fact for about an hour, before new folks came in, I knew everyone in there all my life, except for the cook. I knew her Dad...
that's about as "down home" as it gets.

Vegan restaurant has been there a while, right next to old bank building downtown, main corner of town.
News to me, I rarely go out for food.
I'll have to remember to take my sister there next time she is in town.

I've been meaning to try the vegan place.
Should be easy to not get dairy there :)

I used to know many of the chefs and service people on the main drag, my wife worked with them in High school and college. Most have moved away, but every now and then run into people she knows in town.

Sounds like a really fun breakfast.

Good Morning
34° this morning when I woke up, 64 and climbing now. Bright sunny day with a bit of a breeze.

Yesterday, about all I got done was to clean up after the mess I made doing the electrical work. Had a nice trip to the Vineyard, got back in time to have some birthday cake and participate in a nerf gun fight with sons and grandson. Tomorrow I have to leave the house before 5 to get to Palm Beach for a 9:30am departure. The good news is that I’ll be finished work early.

Not a lot planned for today, I 3D printed an adapter to put a dial indicator on the tool post on my lathe, that needs to have some adjustment hardware fitted, which will involve a trip to the hardware store.
Probably meet some locals for lunch and play music tonight.
Not much else planned.

68°F and 0 rain but 82% chance today

Getting water transfer going yesterday my important accomplishment other than the guys being victorious at cards.

Need to make PO run this morning. Hopefully get the BX back to running order if it doesn’t rain.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

63°F and cloudy this morning, got up to 79° today. Rather windy the last couple of days.

1st shift just ended, and my 2nd shift has been working at another facility for the last month. So, it's quiet here at work, as I have the place to myself for the next hour. Get some reports done without interruptions.

Going to rain here pretty much all weekend and through Monday, starting later this evening. So much for getting the rest of the mowing done.

Nice to see David (MFW) make an appearance here. Glad things are going well.

Good afternoon, gents.

Bill, since you are on a roll,
let's upgrade your rig.
haul that black gold in style and always go to the head of the line, slowly subdubbing your buddies
as you go buy.

wonder if you could program those eyes as turn signals
can anyone identify the country?

lovely day out, sat outside and nodded off for a few minutes. Finished planting last of radishes
can really tell the tree pollen is cranking up, have to wash my face when I come in to get pollen out of eyes and eyelashes.

lot more clearance now with air dam taken off car.
first of the bleeding hearts starting to open. In about a month that will be two feet of flowers

Paul/PJS, I just got a call, it's ok to go home now. The Easter Bunny was calling.

Breakfast meeting today, always good..
Decided to clean up the garden when I got home, still had everything in it from last year. Pulled the plastic, removed bean and tomato trellis. Then tilled the garden. Other than having to jump start the massey, and put a little air in the tires, it ran good. about the only time it gets used.
Then planted 4 rows of potatos, using just one of the buckets of left overs. will dump the other 2.5 buckets of small potatoes. got bean trellis back up, so they can get planted.

I'm tired.
No deck work today, but yesterday, after I got back from VA, I did straighten out the 1/4' out. I ran string line down every row to check. The very first piece was the culprit, even though I had a chalk line down when i put it in, when I put the back side screws in, it must have pushed out some on the front. anyways, took a couple hours, but I'm happy I straightened it. Next 3 boards are around middle side posts, so will have to cut them as I go, so will take longer, and I need to put in some more blocking in the middle.

Anyone know about kites?
I know...I'm 73 going on 13...
I found this box kite I bought many years ago from a kite store, but I think it's made wrong?
Easy fix...but the cross dowels are 24" & 28" so it's lopsided (?). Also the attachment string the loop is off center (maybe supposed to be?). It's windy today but not consistent. I finally got it flying about 100ft or so, then it "nose dived", but didn't hurt it.
