Hi Guys,
\New to the site. I am building a home on a small Bahamian Island with my John Deere 4610 with hydrostatic tranny. I have no 4 wd engagement (it was working until last week).My 4 wd switch is illuminated but I can not get 4 wd to engage. I believe the part to check is the MFWD sensor. I have conflicting literature between my shop manual and the JD parts web site. I believe this tractor has no 4 wd solenoid but a MFWD sensor instead is this correct? There is no help here so you people are my only help. My local dealer in New York is tired of helping and any Florida dealer says " bring it in" right! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am a decent mechanic and have already diagnosed and repaired other issues so I am not an expert mechanic but not afraid to try anything, heck I have no choice.;
