I think you guys are being duped. That's why I put the math back on him. :)

but even with a 16 gallon tank how much is actually putting in 5 gallons or 15 gallons or 7 an 11/16 gallons :cool2:

/ FUEL ADDITIVE #43
BUT, if the tank holds 16 gallons and you put additive in it, it won't hold 16 gallons any longer!

What to do? What to do??

But is does still hold 16 gallons........ doesn't hold any more that 16 gallons though..... That extra fluid must go somewhere else, me guesses... I know I have overflowed a tank or two... not proud of it, but the smell goes away eventually... :)

Totally have to recalculate....

If you fill the tank. Then add additive that overflows the tank. Is the fuel properly protected????

/ FUEL ADDITIVE #48
This could get deep. Additive instantly mixes with the fuel. So when the tank is overflowing as you are pouring in additive, is it additive that's escaping or "mixed" fuel??? This mix ratio thing is gonna definitely be messed up......

/ FUEL ADDITIVE #49
I would drain the tank and start all over you have to be right on the money with the ratio or very bad sh*t will happen.;)

Thread pruned again... too many to send notes to, just suffice it to say, comments and replies to comments were removed... nothing personal, just had to try and get them all. Please continue with the original discussion.

No argument here. Just telling you that's not true in my locale. My Son works for a Tow Service. When temps get close to zero and/or below 95% of their business is gelled diesels. An Interstate hiway runs thru our County. A sizable percentage of those tows are trucks off that hiway. So obviously it's not just my little piece of Missouri that is selling fuel that's not properly treated.
A majority of those jelled and bigger trucks are northbound, not southbound .

I don’t know why so many people want that “power” that #2 diesel provides and they dork around with potions , lotions , mixtures and sorcery. Just to fuss, muss , gelled filters and have their crippled equipment out of service .
Just fill the tank with winter diesel and be done with it .

Commercial trucks generally do well in these conditions. They are trying to make a living and can't afford to be down. The most failures are diesel pickups.

Where would you suggest this be purchased? Last cold spell my neighbor limped his truck to my heated shop where it spent the night. Properly treated, it went on it's way. And no sorcery was used. :)

Where the fuel suppliers have enough brains to supply diesel fuel that doesn't need "witch craft" to make a diesel engine run, winter or summer!

Lucky you. :D

At least I'm proud enough of where I live to admit it, rather than shamefully hide it. :D
I would tell where I live, but IF I did, too many guys like you would move here and ruin it for the rest of us!!

There are times I do believe it would be nice to live in an area in which the fuel retailers do not know what Winter Diesel is!
