That shouldn't be too surprising...to spammers, a new or updated forum is a "new" audience for their garbage.

That definitely has something to do with the spam issue. On our old, old forum (pre-2006) we got virtually zero spammers because of the way we had set up the registration page. The automated bots didn't find it. :thumbsup: Ah the good old days.
Something I've noticed, at least for me, is that my post counts aren't incrementing??

Well, now they seem to be?? That's weird... Last couple of posts I've done I think I was at 211, but when I posted this it was 213. OK, I'm crazy, disregard...

Double post problem has returned.
For the first time in a long time, I got that 'are you SURE you want to leave this page' (or whatever it says) after hitting 'post' and waiting a minute.
I clicked yes, 'leave', and then saw my post displayed twice. I'm certain I didn't hit 'post' twice.

After composing the text above and hitting 'post' I got the leave/stay choice. I tried 'stay' this time and found I was still in the Quick Reply box so I added a paragraph saying just now was the second time today that I got the leave/stay choice.
Then, I hit 'post' and took the 'leave' choice. The screen went from no posts following Radar Tech's post, to two copies of what I wrote BEFORE my 'stay' had tossed me back into the QR box. And note the time difference.
I'll try 'leave' this time ...
Edit, added: - ok this second post worked as intended.
In summary whenever the leave/stay box appears, it is not revealed to the poster that his post was added to the thread.

California, we have a dbl post thread. I seem to get that pop up box about leaving the page more frequently over the last week but still like 5% of the time. I hit post and then click "yes" to leave the page. I have done this about 5 times or so in the last week, and recently not had a dbl post doing it that way?

When making a post, words and phrases are getting randomly doubled and other times I can be typing and nothing is going up on the screen. I can quote a post and there are times that the words and phrases get multiplied in the quote also. Is this something that you know about? It sure makes it hard to write a post. When previewing the post, the doubled wording usually goes away in what would be the actual post, but still shows doubled up in the composing section.

That one sounds like a local rather than TBN problem. (Because the composition of your reply is local, until you hit 'post'). Has anyone else seen this?
Could there be something else going on, a virus scan or something, that is hogging your machine while you draft a post?

The problem is we can't have the reply button without quick reply. So you are either locked in to reply to quote, or using the reply to thread button at the bottom. Maybe we should custom program it?
