So I've been looking for a replacement temp gage for my 1900, It's stuck on hot. Hasn't worked for a long time. I've called a few places and they say the ones they have are also stuck on hot. The last place I called had a dozen most on hot, a couple in the middle and one at C or cold. I'm having that one sent. Any one have any experience with this?

My Ford 1310 did not have engine oil pressure or coolant temperature gauges originally so I installed Smiths gauges just like these (but in US units) some 25 years ago and they work very well.

Are you restoring or just doing repairs?

Just doing repairs. Other than the temp gage the tractor is in pretty nice shape.

I did not want to cut any holes and installed them to the FEL frame.
Works well and easy to see even when feeding the PTO chipper in the back.

My Ford 1900 worked fine for years. It's basically a sensor and a gauge. I'd just take the sensor to the auto place nearby and ask them to match up the threads and try a new one on it.
