I bought this 1972 Ford 3400 tractor a few months ago. The tractor is an agricultural model painted yellow. The guy had pictures of it running, so I know it's been used somewhat recently. He said the only thing wrong with it was that it needed a fuel pump. He already had it off, but it was missing lines and fittings.
I sent the Lucas CAV diesel injection pump off to be rebuilt and it turned out it was too corroded. I think he left it out in the weather after removing it. At the advice of others, I bought a new Ford 3600 fuel pump which was significantly cheaper than a remanufactured 3400 pump.
So I've got it installed, but am now realizing that without the old pump or its lines/fittings I really have no idea how to hook it up properly.
What connects where? Does anyone have any photos of their 3400 pump to share?
Thanks for any help!
