Thanks for all of the suggestions guys...not sure yet what I'll do. Roundup is not a good solution for me because the multi flora is so thick, wide and dense that even if I bought hundreds of gallons of Roundup or equivalents I'd never even be able to get into it deep enough to spray it...way too much of it.
I did think about a sickle bar but since there are saplings 1-2" thick in among the multi flora and rocks I'm afraid I'd spend more time repairing and replacing teeth than cutting.
Even a rotary or the modified chain cutter is a problem because some of the rocks (which are almost impossible to see before you hit them, the bushes are so thick) are in the neighborhood of one to two feet in diameter and since I would have to drive my JD over the foliage, rocks and saplings, I don't think that would work.
I'm thinking I may just wait until right before the snow starts this winter after all of the leaves have fallen off and I can see clearly where the rocks and everything are, I'll have a better sense of what will work.

Goats. You apparently can rent goats.
Probably cheaper to just buy some and sell them when they finish the job.

Thought about that, but goats need to be looked after and fenced in and my acreage is not fenced. But thanks...under ideal circumstances that would be a great idea.

Try a bush ax since you say Roundup won't work. I wouldn't give up on the Roundup and 2,4 D. You might have to spray it multiple times but it will clear it out.
