I was welding today with 6010 so I change the hook up to 6010 another hole to plug the cable into, for some reason I did not get any spark does any one know why?

You have 2 negatives there. You put the electrode holder over in the negative most likely. Move your work clamp to the 6010 location.

I moved the stinger.

Yep. Move it back to the + and the work clamp over to the 6010.

Just went out to the garage and switch the cable around the positive =stinger negative to 6010= fire!!! Thanks

Mark, while we are on this. What is the difference between the 6010 output and the "normal" Never fully understood that feature. Is it just changing Polarity?

The 6010 port changes the level of inductance in the machine and somewhat the voltage. Not sure if that helped anyone's understanding.

I know that inductors (coils sometimes called chokes or smoothing chokes) are often used in power supplies to smooth out current delivery. A time vs. current integrator if you will. I don't know if that helps or not.

Can someone answer this question... why can't I find any 6010 rods? I'll go to Tractor Supply or Matheson welding supply I only see 7018, 6011 and some others but NEVER 6010. Everyone talks about 6010. Do they require special handling? or are people stealing them and selling them on the black market?
