Correct, It was the angle I was referring to. I suppose I can live with the anestetics as long as it gets the job done. Still wish it was straight though.
Rest easy. It'll be taken care of one way or another!!
Well I just received a call from ETA about my rake. Ted offered me an exchange because he wanted to make sure I was happy with my purchase. By the time you figure shipping to me, back to him then back to me he probably would have made next to nothing on the sale. This is what I call good old fashioned customer service. I declined his offer because I don't see this minor alignment issue as a real problem. The heavy duty quality of this rake is more than I could ask for. I would purchase one again without a moments thought. The answer to my hard headedness of not wanting to swap the rake was an offered discount toward my next implement purchase. Now I have an excuse to go after that PHD I've been wanting... Umm Needing!
One thing I've learned from all this is that you cant beat a good old fashioned, family owned company that stands behind their products. USA made products and providing homeland jobs is also a plus I consider when shopping. Thanks to ETA for representing all of that..
My next purchase from ETA is going to be a wicked root grapple, can't wait to strap one on my Kubota.

I got an email today that my ETA order will ship today including my version 3 landscape rake with a custom added offset.
(And a 60 inch wicked grapple).
Yahoo.
That's me. They are going to build me a custom version 3 rake but with offset. Since it's a custom (although they plan to offer that at some point) I hope there are no first version snafus.
It's not just a simple swap from their angle blade because the version 3 rake has a slotted floating style hitch. I trust them to work the issues out, though.
That's one reason I like working with smaller manufacturers, more flexibility.
this one was bought new in 1973 and and it does allow the entire rake to be offset. I use it a lot more in the offset mode than directly behind the tractor but don't see new rakes with this feature?? Glad ETA is able to build a rake to suit :thumbsup:Servis used to build what i believe you are referencing - it has the standard rear angle adjustment -AND a forward boom angle adjustment (up to about 40degrees) plus gang? wheels that can be adjusted vertically by spinning a screw adjuster... mine is ancient but still gets the job done here's a couple pictures this one was bought new in 1973 and and it does allow the entire rake to be offset. Looks like an awesome rake!
Still enjoying the one I have. So far I have cleared about 10 acres following dozer work. I did bend a couple of tines which was my fault due to hanging up on a tough root but had I put this amount of torture on my old rake the tines would have looked like the eye brows of a 90 year old man. The EA rake is definitely built to last a lifetime. Our landscape rakes have been getting great reviews. I hope you guys are still enjoying yours!! Travis
