Tractors under 25 hp. aren't required to have a DPF yet.My Mahindra doesn’t have a DPF
Probably 3 quarts per hourWhat would it burn/hour with no DPF?
LOL….I‘m thinking more like 1.5 since we know DPFs cause fuel consumption to increase.Probably 3 quarts per hour
Are you sure about that, I thought Mahindra didn’t have a DPf…Tractors under 25 hp. aren't required to have a DPF yet.
Yes, I am. Diesels under 25 hp. aren't required to have the extensive exhaust scrubbing diesels over 25 are now required to have. Step up to a larger tractor and it's there in one form or another. Are you sure about that, I thought Mahindra didn’t have a DPf…
I believe they have something called a DOC
Well..... there you have it. You can now see there is a difference because your L3301 is really burning 1.9 liters per operating hour. LOL
Feeding the monster in the hopes it will eat you last -- Folly. You owners of older tractors that think you've out-smarted them? Wait until you need parts.Yes, I am. Currently, CARB says it is evaluating the potential for up to a 90% more stringent NOx standard and up to 75% more stringent PM standard compared to Tier 4 Final. A standard for carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions is also being considered; this would be the first time they would be implemented for off-road engines.......
.......CARB is looking to implement these new emissions standards across all engine power categories, including those which do not currently use exhaust aftertreatment devices. It says over half of all new off-road CI engines as of model year 2020 are certified in California to Tier 4 Final without devices such as diesel particulate filters (DPF)
California won't be happy until they can californicate the entire nation. In a few decades we will all either be using electric exclusively, public electric transportation, horse and buggy, or walking. Hopefully no other states will follow crazy Cal down their garden path.Feeding the monster in the hopes it will eat you last -- Folly. You owners of older tractors that think you've out-smarted them? What will a Tier 5 Emissions Regulation Entail?
California has outlined the objectives, strategy and tactics to achieve the goals of a Tier 5 Diesel Off-Road Emission Standard.www.oemoffhighway.com
It's an automatic system on diesel engines and it seldom requires a "high temperature burn off" except under unusual circumstances. It will burn off the soot just by operating the tractor and at times automatically do a regen. So I don't know what you are talking about.never requires high-temperature burn-offs, which is a maintenance task that often gets forgotten by owners and tractor operators.
It won't end even then. Funny thing about dictatorial tyrants, they don't care who or what they rule over. Just so long as they rule. Anybody ever heard of North Korea? The idiocy will only end when money leaves the State and there is no one left to pay for the stupidity.
I have no reply except I agree.California won't be happy until they can californicate the entire nation. Its one of the reasons I tried to stay under 25 hp, but it seems I needed more rather than less and should have gotten a 40 hp or more...Yes, I am. 25 hp. in a larger, heavier tractor can accomplish a lot of work, but it is limited. Our Boomer 50 just arrived today to help with our 20 acres and approximately mile and a half of driveway and private road. I was using a 27 hp. tractor so I know it is a little too small for the job, 50 ought to be about right. We were planning on a 40-45, but the 50 was the most readily available. 4 weeks from order to receiving it.Its one of the reasons I tried to stay under 25 hp, but it seems I needed more rather than less and should have gotten a 40 hp or more...
