Ditch Witch C99

I got the Wisconsin engine on the C99 to free up today. It is making full revolutions now. I adjusted the planetary gear selector and it freed up after that. So i guess that was engaged to the engine and stopping it from turning.

I got the recoil starter rope cleaned and lubricated so that the fly weights would engage the crank again. It works but not well really. The weights only engage after the rope is pulled fast enough (about half way out). Then you only have about half the rope left to start the crank turning. I may need to convert it to just a sheave setup. I guess the crank not turning completely was because of the reducer gearset. I adjusted the lever and was able to get the crank turning complete revolutions. I got a look at the magneto today ...it was pretty crusty. I sanded the points and tried to get a spark with a spark plug tester light but it was no good. Time for a magneto rebuild I'm guessing. I got the carb off and dunked it in a can of carb cleaner for overnight.

Not many of us have this particular model, but that doesn't mean we aren't interested, or at least I am. But my trencher isn't a DitchWhich.

The C99 makes a four inch wide trench. It goes about two feet deep.

Could I please get a copy of the manuals for the ditch witch c99 also I would so appreciate them
