The mileage gains are from advancing the injection events back to where they should be but this does raise NOX emissions some. Eliminating EGR improves combustion efficiency as the engine is not choking on it's own pharts. Thermal efficiency gains too as elimination of EGR reduces combustion chamber temperature prior to the injection events. Of course wasting fuel by setting fire to the particulate filter is obvious enough.
Have to worry what the new age thinkers , agenda 21 lovers at the EPA will come up with in the new tier V emissions. Did anybody think they were going to stop at tier IV ?

On trucks with DEF, when you delete...................do you still need to run DEF fluid?

I trip the ODO 101 miles interstate cruise set 75 and then 65 closer into Willis and there I averaged by truck 15.1 done the same on way back and truck showed 23.3. Programmer is set on 65HP with timing(goes 1-10 and I'm set on 3) and timing 1-3 set on 2. I probably leave it set there and be happy,lots of difference from stock where set. Smoke is very minimum if you get on it a little after been running normal,I mean just a hint at first then clears

Beautiful!! Just don't put a lot of faith in what the truck tells you the mpg is. Those programmers screw with it's mind, ya know.

I guarantee she'll be much healthier now!

So? How much did all this cost you including installation?

Another question....When you 'delete' something, is it just a program change, or do you actually remove some parts?

Some remove and add plates,some it's not necessary just unplug. Mine are just unplugged under the hood and the plugs actually look plugged in but they aren't. Total was $2740 installed,husband and wife place,great people,would highly recommend them. We sat and talked about tractor and hay when he got done for half an hour,young couple early 30's like myself(he has a degree in engineering science from A&M also), 10 out of 10 in my book,felt almost like we all knew each other forever.
As for the MPG I know it was better by how much used by gauge there and then back but either way I used a 1/4 tank in the 215 miles I'm happy and I can leave my truck running now while hauling hay with a/c blowing cold for when I get back in

It's impressive what all is in the exhaust of these trucks now and that they can still breath. Good luck with the new and improved truck.

I need to learn more about the settings cause those max numbers where set I thought but they change like it's the max the truck has seen at one time,I dunno need to study up. They are suppose to come out with a trans tune sometime

I ran it on level 5 and dang it will get it,couldn't imagine if it was possible to go to 10. It does smoke some on it,so I was close to my brothers and he was gone so I parked next to his 6.0 and blew a little smoke on it,sent video to him,he called laughing

I hauled 12rolls to a guy about 20miles away and it pulled like a champ,it was only on level 3(60hp) with timing and just going off truck again average was 14
