Massey Ferguson MH50
Hi,
I just completed an in-frame on my Massey Ferguson MH50 with a Z134 continental Z134. I have a knocking noise at the front of the engine and no coolant flow. Has anyone ever heard of an impeller problem on one of these engines! Oil pressure is ok. And coolant is full. But ( as you can imagine) the engine gets quite warm. ( with or without the thermostat). I did not have the radiator riddled out. But it appears to be flowing. ( fills easily and drains quickly). Water pump is turning but there is no coolant flow perceptible in the radiator.
Ideas?

I think you need to take the water pump off the engine and look for a PROBLEM with the IMPELLER either rubbing the housing of the pump or interference with the engine block. It may be the bearing in the pump itself bad.
