I have seen some of those big red tractors in the central valley pulling huge implements. Did not know what they were until now. Very interesting. Up to 575hp.

Interesting read. Have you ever looked at the Merlo Multifarmer? Addresses a lot of the problems while still offering the option of pulling with a 3 point & PTO if you want to.

As you guessed, I have no need for a 3pt hitch. Been there, done that, not going back in the foreseeable future. :laughing:

Now if I had to plow a field often, or had large acreage to mow, I might consider 3pt. But for the most part, I can accomplish all my tasks with implements mounted up front.

Kind of reminds me of the Unisystem - you always have to reconfigure it for what you want to do. Plus these are big - not a compact or lightweight, i.e. on your lawn type of machine.

True, even the lower end is 110hp - solidly into utility tractor range. Interestingly, they make a 74 hp machine about 6 ft wide, but it isn't available with a 3pt hitch. I think that size machine would be very useful.
