I collect early 1900 electric desk fans mainly 8" but have some 10, 12, 16 inch fans along with a 23". These fans are cast iron motors and bases with brass blades and cages. They are very well made and very heavy. Generally when I find one it just needs to be cleaned up a little and they continue to work, after 100 years of use and abuse.

All of these have original paint

Your fans are great, they are real works of industrial art. Keep up the collecting!

From my 21 year Navy career... lots of odd things from port calls around the world. Not the usual tourist trap junk. Nice quality farm funnel with brass plate, made in Hobart Tasmania, flags from around the world, small bags of rice from around the world, plus eating/cooking items from those countries. Lots of beer/soda bottles too.

Down here in the deep south, big rocks are very rare. So if i see one i bring it home. Also like finding arrowheads.

My thing is antique brass candlesticks.
Mainly pairs but I also have some singles.
I would love to print a catalog or write a book on the subject.
Collection stands at about 150.

Old milk jars and milk cans, anything related to old dairy. Cream separators, etc. Both of my parents came from the dairy industry.

Bottle cap openers and paint can openers. Lots of them have advertising on them from companies long gone and they don't take up too much room.
A small fossil collection from fossils around Indiana (mostly my dad's)
I also "collect" locations of old railroad roundhouses that I find on google earth.

There was an old railroad roundhouse that we used to play in growing up. When we got older it was perfect for paintball games we would have. It was demolished to make an expressway that runs over it now. It really was a cool place. There were also a lot of old coal mine buildings and offices that were on the site. It was eerie at times walking through there.

Can't say I collect anything but bad habits and debt.

I do admire those that do collect and share what they have.

I love vintage cars. My buddy has a Cadillac, 1934 maybe, it is interesting to learn that it had power windows (hydraulic powered up/down) and rear seat heat. I thought rear heat was a "modern' thing, just goes to show you can always learn something.

Dust bunnies! I didn't mean to collect them but it seems I have acquired a good size collection of them over the years of various sizes and shapes with subtle yet uninteresting differences in their composition. Unlike some collectors who have a dedicated room for their collections, mine are artfully interspersed throughout my house.
