Cold feet

Bass Pro sell Lifetime Warranty Wool Socks for $10 a pair. I started wearing wool in the early 80's on extended backpacking trips. I got so used to them that I wore them at work every day for 27 years in steel toe boots. They keep your feet cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. I have been wearing the Bass Pro's everyday since I retired almost 5 years ago. When I wear a hole in them I wash 'em & throw them in a pile. Next trip to Bass Pro and I trade them in for new one's...no charge.

If you want really warm socks why not try possum socks? They are made of a mix of merino wool and possum fur, are lightweight, incredibly warm and durable.

I had a baby possum, he was pretty soft and cuddly, but they get nasty when they get old.

I just tried the smart wool socks that were mentioned in this thread and they work great.First time my feet weren't cold outside in a long time. The only drawback is 18.00 a pair but they are worth it.

Now what about these possum socks 50.00 nz about 40.0 us.Any first hand experience out there? That's a little steep for socks.

I picked up some new socks the other day. They are made by Wells-Lamont. They are a wool blend. And I can say they are 100 time better then my other cotton socks. Never heard of possum socks.
