I know that there have been some great discussions so far but I am concerned about the bearings and fittings. Have then been greased? Are all of the zirk fittings in good working order. What did the previous owner do to snap them off.
Not greasing a machine can be worse then snapping the blades off of a HST fan. Excessive vibration, wear and corrosion caused by water and dirt all up in ball bearings.
Just a thought and I am sure my statements above could be a can of worms but lack of greasing can be difficult to notice at first and can have long lasting effects.
