Chatter Fix for TC-45D

JT, I looked at mine a little closer last night and it is a little looser than I previously recall. Still though, no rattle. I also noticed that there is not much room for the entire cover to move front-to-rear. Maybe you could loosen the clamp and slide the rear part more to the rear and the front part more to the front and thereby tighten the whole setup up. I think mine probably had only about a 1/8" free-play, when I would try to slide it front-to-back. Good Luck!

Boy do I feel like a dummy! The cover (shroud) does have an integrated clamp nearest the transmission. Loosen the 4 bolts and extend it for a tighter fit. Previously, I examined this thing and I even fooled with it. The only excuse I can offer is that when the clamp is tight the seam is nearly invisible. Things are now quite again. This web site is great..... thanks all!
