Chain Link Fence Advice

A while back an acquaintance* (casual) was threatened and feared for his life.

A LEO gave him some advice as follows:
(the kind he'd deny)

"Wait 'til the perp is well within your property and if U shoot be sure he's dead otherwise he'll say he was lost and asking for directions."

*the threatened person was also a LEO that had accidently shot an escaped perp** as he was jumping a fence.
A warning had been shouted and the perp refused the order.
The shot was meant to be a warning shot and the perp simply jumped into the bullet's path.

** perp was an escaped felon and a BOLO had been issued.
The perp's 'gang' was out for revenge.

The gunfire and number shot has dramatically risen...

Basically it shows who rules the streets.

The mayor is having to answer for this, as is the police chief and sheriff, so it will be interesting to see what happens. The sheriff setup up road blocks in one area to disrupt the sideshow which helps but they just will move else where.

The number of people getting shot has really increased since Apr/May 2020 though the number of homicides is down. I think the low death county is because of the quality of the first responders and the first rate hospitals. Both have plenty of experience.

Off road motorcycles and quads have been running on the public roads for years but the PD are not allowed to chase...

Maybe the answer is no fence...

Last night at 1:20am the fence was breached when a SUV used a chain attached to the commercial gate and dragged it away...
