I stopped by a local Tractor Supply Co to look at their box blades. They recommended a King Kutter XB box blade that fits category 1 tractors with category 0 spacing. Now I'm not sure if this would be correct or not for my JD 4100, any suggestions will really help. How do I know if my CUT has a 1 or 0 spacing or does it not really matter?

Thanks.

You will have no problems with the boxblade for the 4100, it's bigger than mine and I could hook up to that one.

I also have a 4100. I have a Kubota 48" box scraper I use with it. My 4100 has the R4 industrial tires, which can only be placed in the narrow position and I have a problem with the tires scraping the 3-pt arms with the box scraper attached. I don't have this problem with my King cutter rear blade though. The pin spacing on the Kubota is 27" I think.

My 4010 is Cat 1; your 4100 has to be. Cat 1 is 26" wide at the lift arms.

I've a Frontier back blade on my 4010. Bought it from the dealer for $250. It also has pins on the inside for Cat 0 machines.

Great, it looks like the XB should work then. I just wasn't sure about the Cat 0 spacing. Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
