BX23 Won't Start

Bs 23 will not start. Have power and it will start if you jump the starter. Think it is the lever switch. How do I check that for sure?

This is for a BX25, I expect a 23 will be similar, but may not be the same.

From the wiring diagram there are the following things in the starter circuit.
Slow blow 50 amp fuse (or fusible link) in main cable from starter main terminal to fuse block and main switch, (OFF/ON/GLOW/START switch), PTO switch, HST Neutral switch, solenoid. Give the PTO and HST switches a workout!

Check to see there is no dirt/debris on the selector lever... it should be easy to move.

Hydro forward/reverse in the middle position too~

I agree with 100td. (the fuse). we had one and there was a fuse in the harness at the starter it would blow every 6 months. check that fuse with test light for power
