tommu56 nailed what I was going to recommend. I didn't think about flipping it up before I drilled the holes in the bucket, so I drilled the holes at the back of the slot, thinking the bar needed to be on tight...
In hindsight, I haven't really found myself needing to flip it up, but I hate locking myself out of options because I was dumb...
When you are driving forward, the side bolts probably serve no real purpose, as the toothbar slips over the leading edge of the bucket. But if you backdrag at all, or rake backwards, as I sometimes do when clearing brush, I would think those bolts would have to be pretty snug, so maybe having them at the back of the slot prevents the bar from being pulled off the bucket edge.
Does that make sense what I'm saying?
