Kubota bx2200
Have a BX2200 with LA211 loader. 48” bucket. Bucket is bent. Appears OEM direct replacement part 75538-50000 is long gone.

Found a BX23s bucket locally at a good price. Despite my google searches, I cannot find a good cross reference if this bucket will fit my LA211? Overall mounting dimensions are almost exactly the same. Are pin positions the same?

Obviously rebuilding current bucket is an option, but would like to fabricate the bent one into a snow pusher box since I’ll be cutting it up anyway.

Thanks!

I think you are in a good position to end up with 2 useful buckets: the old one modified to be a snow pusher and the BX23 bucket to replace it for normal duties. The reason I think this is (for my BX2200) I bought an old who-knows-what brand FEL bucket much larger than the std LA211 bucket. Probably a foot wider, higher and roughly twice the cu ft load capacity. The old, large, extra bucket was modified by a local welding shop to mate up with the FEL pins and brackets on the LA211 frame. Not a big deal and works fine. Of course the little BX2200 is easily overloaded with this rag-tag extra bucket but I know my limits and what not to try with it. I did it as a quick and dirty way to drastically increase the fluffy snow capacity of my loader. A low density load (like snow) doesn't overload anything.

So your scenario is somewhat different but I think you should be able to adapt the BX23 bucket to the LA211 loader frame easier, actually, than the contraption I had adapted to mine. Don't worry too much about exact measurements, just modify what you have to. Good luck.

If it's local...see if the seller will let you come and take careful measurements. The loader arms are different between the BX2200/BX22 (I have the latter) and the BX23, but they very well may have kept the same dimensions for the three points of mounting what is pretty much the same size bucket so they could avoid having to change manufacturing. You could also consider an aftermarket quick attach system to adapt or have a local welder modify if the fit isn't the same.

A standard loader quick-attach would be real nice on any tractor including the small subcompacts. There are some negatives however. Cost is one. The loader frame not having been designed to accommodate a SSL compatible quick hitch is another. The good side is that a skid-steer compatible quick hitch opens the large world of attachments. The bad news is you would be nuts to put most of them on a little BX tractor. For the OP the great news (if he could get a SSLQA attached to his BX) would be the huge number of choice of bucket shapes, sizes, weights, etc. Bad news is his old bucket will no longer fit his tractor if he mods it to be a snow pusher. I still favor having a welding shop adapt a good used bucket to it.

The pin locations/size are the same for the LA211 and current LA340/344, so the 23S bucket should be a direct fit.

The only BX loader that I think uses different size pins was the LA181 used on the BX1500.

Boy that is good info TMGT. Us BX2200 owners need to save that. Good example of TBN and us helping each other.

Another option, albeit a bit pricey, is to convert the LA211 loader to SSQA using an adapter like this:

This would allow you to use any SSQA bucket as well as other SSQA implements.

Just a thought.

That is what I was saying in post #4 above. Good to have links to at least one source for the SSQA as there might well be others besides the OP interested. Tks.

This is awesome to know! I take good care of my bucket on my BX2200 with the LA211. Thanks all!

I bookmarked this thread.
