The total diameter and gear ratio result is the same. Kubota went to a "low profile" look on the BXs a few years back, with larger wheels, but lower profile tires, so it all comes out in the wash.

The extra width might be an issue for MMM anti-scalpe wheel clearance, otherwise, I don't see any issues.

You can normally balance front to rear diameter with air pressure on near same size changes of tires. We have found that they vary within a size from brand to brand!
After installation you can check the ease of disengagement of the four wheel drive after driving on a hard surface. There are times with some tires you can see if you have lead or lag by the foot print. To pick the front end up with a loader you can see the front tires spin with lead or lag. A loaded bucket on the loader changes the lead to a lag quickly when the tires are squashinng from the load.

I have the later BX 24 front rims and tires on my BX 23...
The reason... I had a front tire bubble and pop... the cost to replace the one tire with something similar was more than 2 new tires mounted on rims from Kubota Whole Goods.
So far, have not noticed any problems shifting from 2 to 4 and vice-versa.
