Total will be 15 sections like this one, concrete posts with 12" cast wall between them. The wall will be crowned with pavers and pine boards - pickets or privacy - will be screwed to 2x4 cross beams to complete the fence. The distance between posts is 98", posts are 8', above ground section of the post is 5'8". As long as the fence is under 6', no permit is needed. I found those posts at local concrete mixing plant on clearance for $10 a piece.

I have some vision of the result, making decisions on the go - ok selling my ideas to my wife to be precise :D

The old fence was really old and really pathetic, will try to find a picture.

Your picture reminds me of Tuco (the ugly guy on the good the bad and the ugly) is it supposed to be him?

Yes it is, Tuco is my hero ;)

That dog is long gone, Buster Brown was 13 month old when liver cancer killed him. Oh well, still, he was our prettiest Airedale.

Interesting fence. Should last

Mostly concrete. Waiting for the concrete panel inserts?

Here is a video, I would not be pouring concrete if I could buy precast.

Progress is slow, it takes two trips to the quarry to get gravel and sand for three sections of the fence, sometimes I pour two in a week, with the heat we were having in VA it was a serious workout to dig trench and run the mixer.

But it is coming along nicely. Holland pavers were on sale at HD, got all we will need for $.38 a piece, we will use them to crown the wall and gate posts.

Be careful in the heat, it doesn't take much to go from feeling fine, to wiped out!!!

I know what you mean, Eddie, the heat eats you up fast.

Related to heat, I discovered coconut water this summer, great stuff to drink when you sweat a lot.

Done with walls, except for the gate.

I used carryall on my tractor to move the mixer and all material down the ditch for every section I poured.

Holland pavers will be used to crown those knee walls. I will need to cut some and still not sure if I should use outdoor glue to secure them or just cement them in place. What do you think?

I think glue will get expensive and probably not last. If it was mine, I would use grey thinset mortar from the tile section of your hardware store.
