I'm thinking of a mod for my box blade, and would like to pole for solutions:
My home is on a 1 mile dirt road shared by 6 homes. Speed is a problem, and we get pretty bad washboards in places. I'm the only tractor owner, so I maintain the road, and have no back blade. (I KNOW, buy the right tool for the problem
BUT I like unique solutions - I can't help it, I'm a retired engineer!
)
The box blade tends to either 'bounce' over the humps or gouge deeply, depending on how the 3pt lift is set; Both a PITA. My idea is some change in linkage that would allow me to angle the blade fore & aft (while keeping the blade parallel to the ground!) allowing the blade to shave the humps similar to an angled back blade.
Has anyone tried such an arrangement? And how did you set it up.
Ideas welcome,
Thanx
