Anyone have any ideas to improve the floor mat on the BX. I am going to cut a new mat to cover the unprotected areas and thought I would check out other ideas. Looking for a neat look.

thanks for any ideas

A suggestion that came up in another thread was to use one of the spray on pickup bed linings and to also cover the lower part of the fenders where your feet might rub. I thought that it was a good idea and am planning to do it to my new L3130 due in this week.

Thanks - I also thought of the bedliners. Trying to find a way to protect without changing the paint job from the factory. bedliner probably would work great. thanks again

"spray on pickup bed linings "

I love the stuff and have had it in my pickup for almost 10 years. It's slippery wet, though. I don't know that I want it as a tractor mat.

Isn't some type of "sandy" material spayed in with the bedliner to help with this problem? If not, can it be? John

I don't know. One issue I see is that for it to really work you'd have to expose the grit, and that would make for an abrasive surface. Second, that surface would wear faster than the poly. Seems like the liner would wear faster overall. Just having the grit in there under the surface wouldn't do it. My bed liner is heavily textured and its still slippery. I know people do use bed liner for jeep pans and don't seem to have problems.

I had the guys at Rhino Liner here in WNC to spry mine. I simply removed the platform, washed it off and delivered the platform and original mat to them. They masked off the area the mat covered and taped the holes on the bottom side with metal tape.

Looks great, is NOT slippery at all, and best of all (the reason I had it sprayed) dirt doesn't get UNDER it. I originally thought I would re-install the mat over the rhino to keep the original look, but I like the look of the Rhino.

I'll post pictures when I get home.
