Still haven't solved the issue.
New data.

Using a NexLink NL102 code reader to read the J1939 codes
SPN0733, FMI=33, Engine rack position sensor volt above normal or shorted
SPN0168, FMI=0, Battery Voltage above normal
SPN4201, FMI=4 Engine speed sensoe voltage low or shorted to low source
SPN0091, FMI= 3 Accel pedal position sensor voltage above normal or shorted to source.

These codes randomly show up, and the motor shuts down once the motor is warm.
Did find mice chewed wires behind the instrument cluster (4 wires.... taped up the damage)
The codes are not consistent... sometimes it shuts down with no code, sometimes one or more of the above.

Metered battery and alternator and it never got above 14.6v

I assume mice got somewhere else, or a sensor is shorting to something, but not sure where to look next.

Any ideas?

Trying to avoid the thousands it will cost if I take it to the dealer.

I suspect your assumption is correct.
Since all the error codes have to do with voltage hi, low or shortage my 1st guess is a ground wire that has been chewed on but no broken all the way through 2nd guess is several damaged wires.
IMO you will find a wiring harness that will show it has been chewed on the problem will be which one and where.

I would start at the battery and work backwards toward the fuse panel on each harness looking for damage.
Good luck

Yup. Time to start visually tracing every wire. Sometimes using your nose to smell for mice really helps but some times they really don't stink.

Here's one i recently fixed. Bought this EFI snowmobile and couldn't figure out why the headlight was dim and it would randomly shut off. No other issues, no signs or smell of mice. 9 wires had copper showing.

You say you taped the damaged wires. Were the wires electrically intact before you taped them? It is possible to have the conductor broken but the partially intact insulation may make it appear the conductor is intact. It may then be intermittent. I learned this from experience. You may need an actual repair on one or more of these taped wires. Mice do chew through conductors, too.
