I have a blade for my JD B and it works okay for snow removal. Would I have more success with a box blade?

I find that if you spin a blade backwards and push it is more effective than driving in the snow and pulling the snow. When I use a blade I have it set an an angle to push the snow to the side, I start in the middle and make several passes pushing the snow over more with each pass.

But I admit that I more often than not use a snow blower on the 3pt and find it fun, fast and effective, especially as the snow gets deeper.

A front blade (with enough weight) works pretty well
A box blade is worthless.
a back blade, you need to flip around and go backwards (and you still need weight)

I would go w/the rear blade...the type that can be pull to one side or the other side for rolling back snow banks....useing like a wing plow.

my rear blade works well in the snow, but its a heavy one. (i also need some skid shoes for snow removal)

an angled back blade for snow, box blade for everything else

5” to 6” snowfalls I face the back blade forward and drive forward with the blade angled. No problem and works great for me and my neck isn’t even sore.
