I got a new camera and need some practice loading pictures. This is also my first shot at logging. It's about 3 acres of 30 year old red pine That need to be thinned out. I used a stihl 260 to cut them down and a 410 L/BH to help push them in the right direction, and the 4310 to move them. First 4 are the tractors, # 5 is how I stacked them, # 6 didn't go as planned  , # 7 the end pile from the first day, cutting from day two still needs stacking. I have a long way to go. I'll keep posting as I make some more progress.

Wow...a lot of work! Been there/done that on your #6 oops! Keep up the good work!

I know for those of you who have to deal with it everyday the snow is a real pain in the rearend, but for those of us here in S.E. Texas where schools close and work comes to a halt if it's even predicted on the 10 PM news...those pictures sure look purty!

nice pixs hookblock. i have a 3120 with a fel and it helps alot with all the firewood cutting i do (outside boiler). i've thought about of some sort winch set-up welded to a ballast like yours. do you have any ideas that would work with yours?

What do you plan on doing with all those pine logs? I built a nice log cabin out of pines that were on my place. I'd hate to seem them just lay there and rot.

I took some fire wood cutting pictures ( with snow ) at the other place. I am finding out I would much rather cut fire wood at 10 degrees or colder. Than at 30 degrees with wet snow, but I was outside and enjoying every minute of it. (when I was young I could never understand why my dad enjoyed it, now I do) :)

Thanks, I am getting a little better, and faster with the camera. The plate has 4 holes in it. And I was planing to make some kind of receiver hitch bracket that I could bolt to it. That way I can or could modify it later, as needed.

That is a great looking cabin. I didn't look to see if you had more pictures but I will. The logs are cut to pulp length. I am planing to get two semi loads out of the 3 acres. I have 20 more acres of 40 year old pines at the other place. These have been harvested two times now, so I would have much better log cabin stock there, if I would ever get to it.
