These guys on the photo came by the other day. The boss was from Afghanistan. They were lookong for old trucks for export to Kabul, Afghanistan.
The truck is a 1979 mod Volvo N 10. It started as a semi tractor hauling transformator oil around the country for years, day and night, on salted winter roads, as well as in the summer heat. Then it was rebuilt to a septic tank truck, still working well, but rust eaten. I bought it 10 years ago for my septic business, never any trouble. 2 years ago I bought a newer truck, and put this one aside in the forest to die. Until these guys came. The truck is now on its way to Afghanistan for a new life there, the life herafter.

The hood and fenders are fiberglass, the cab floor is very rusty!

I'm one of the few that will appreciate volvo's,Iveco's,Man's ,ERF's ,Fodens,Pegaso's and scania's and the same thing is happening with tractors and combines they can't get enough of our old stuff right now , They have drove the used market right up ?
Ran 3 F10's once..**** fine trucks?

I thought the same thing when I read the initial post! Gonna turn into an explosives hauling truck, although I hope not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
