I have 2017 branson 3520cx tractor...the bearing on front axle is shot on piinion shaft i was able to seal out...now bearing stuck on shaft...Any suggestions how to get it out..thank u
Think ur saying hit pinion from front...and snap ring might break...i cant get to snap ring from front it blocked by seized bearingI think this is what you are talking about. There is a snap ring behind the bearing. Looks like if you took a block of wood and place it on the shaft and tap it with a hammer the bearing would come off. See screenshot below. Hope this helps.

Yes I am saying put a piece of wood on the end of the shaft and tap the wood with a hammer. The snap ring should not break. The snap ring would hold the bearing and shaft should go inside the housing. Then you can remove the bearing.Think ur saying hit pinion from front...and snap ring might break...i cant get to snap ring from front it blocked by seized bearing
I believe it should rotate off the ring gear as it goes in. That is why tap is better than pound. LolIm confused how shaft can go it..dont it rest on ring gear lol im 80 yrs old maybe time give up tractor repair...thank u kindly

Is there a way you can post a picture of the bearing and shaft? I would not think it would need to move much before the bearing gets free.I also took 3 bolts off pinion at front of tractor
Think i got bearing out but i dont see no c clip to get shaft out..less still part bearing left in..i had to split bearing to get out..lol i might be over my headIs there a way you can post a picture of the bearing and shaft? Thank so much for help only 193 hours on...strange bearing go fastIt definitely looks like the outer race is still in there. You may be able to pull it with a slide hammer but catching just the race and not the snap ring will be a challenge.
I agree with that! Wonder what type of oil was used in the front end?Thank so much for help only 193 hours on...strange bearing go fast
