I have both Stihl and Kobalt (Greenworks) battery chain saws. I don’t own gas saws any more. As someone suggested, a battery reciprocating saw with a good pruning blade is really the best tool for light work. As some one else suggested, you can put a smaller bar on the Greenworks or Kobalt saw. Mine came with an Oregon 18” bar; but could easily be replaced with 14” bar. I would be reluctant to buy a new system. Since your wife has Greenworks - I would go with that for a battery chain saw solution. Or use your reciprocating saw with a good pruning blade. That is what I use for most limbing and light work now. Lithium batteries have really made the difference in all rechargeable tools.
