That can cause it with high drain and nowhere enough time to replenish the charge.

I keep mine plugged into a 4 amp smart maintainer when the 3500 diesel is sitting! Made a plug to back feed through the 7 pin trailer socket. That way, I don't need to open or close the hood. Also, have a short pigtail with Anderson powerpole connectors on it. That way, if I need to leave in a hurry or forget to unplug, I'm not dragging maintainer down the road!

Will see how long the new set lasts with the better upkeep this time around.
Also, have block heater on smart plug that will come on at a preset temp to help crank that cold iron block over easier. Made a cover that goes over the passenger side mirror that holds the cord. This way, I see that I'm plugged in!

Wifi smart plugs really help with these tasks. Have different times set on block heater for different days, as I'm the DW's "tow truck".
Like that idea of the mirror trick!
If you don’t mind I’d like to use it!😂😂☮️✌🏻

That looks similar to the Weize batteries I've been buying lately. Good specs and definitely less money than most other AGMs.

Putting the 6th one purchased, an H7, in the girlfriend's new car today (new battery in a new car? It's a story in itself) and am in the process of making the cables for four H8s in the M936.

Instead of buying them through Amazon, it's cheaper to get them directly from Weize.
With 12% discount on Amazon they were same price as buying direct. Actually less, with Prime 5% discount and free ship. Being a prime member is the expensive part!🤔

Thinking of getting a Foxwell battery tester BT705 as per Project Farm video. Ebay has them cheaper than Amazon. Do you think the ebay ones are counterfeit? Thoughts?

Thanks! I've read not to purchase sparkplugs from Amazon or ebay.

whichever one you choose, e sure it's a sealed no maintenance battery. made mistake once with removable inspection plates, a disaster with the splash doing field work

Ive been buying automotive parts from ebay for over 10 years now. Never had a problem, other than a few incorrect items from time to time and that was probably as much my fault as the vendor. I've bought everything from brakes to wiper motors to alternators and transmission filters, motor mounts etc. But since ebay sells for somewhere between 50 to 75 % less than the big auto suppliers, it could be them telling you not to buy off Ebay. Just a thought from someone very happy with ebay.

Gotta agree with that. Sealed batteries - or AGM types - on tractors just makes sense.

made the mistake once but fortunately caught it in time, doesn't take long for the tray to corrode, serviceable batteries are not make for rough field use
(in my case anyway) regards

Just replaced the battery in the Kubota with one from Rural King, and battery in the Trailblazer with a Costco. Both were much cheaper than parts store batteries. I'll update if i outlast them🥴

I've been buying Interstate AGM group 24 batteries since 2021 for everything including tractors, trucks, and the RV. They seem to be a good battery at a good price. No complaints so far.

I use group 34/78 DT batteries in everything possible. Once I adjust a battrry tray, I'm good to go

There is some controversy having an AGM battery with an alternator designed for a wet cell battery.

Some say the alternator has to work harder because the AGM requires a higher state of charge while others say, so what, the AGM will reach the full charge faster than a wet cell so it's an even trade.

I say, I would prefer the AGM but can't justify the higher cost.

I was of this same train of thought, until i killed 2 interstate batteries. Each only lasted 2 years. So im trying the AGM. Its now on its second season and so tar so good. Lots of starting oomph.

There's times I definitely could justify the cost.

How do AGM batteries work with a float charger and or on rarely used equipment?

I had a couple batteries get very corroded this year, just sitting, plugged into a float charger.

Does anybody have any AGM float charger recommendations?

I'm pretty sure I'm going to be inpatient for about 6 weeks in the near future and how long I'll be incapacitated by health and weather after that remains to be seen

Do they make a group 34/78 DT - dual terminal AGM battery?
