This is helpful info for us -- we have the same situation in NH. How much did it cost you to add the garage and mud room? Does anyone have any cost estimates for such an addition with cement floors in New England?

Thanks for the info Junkman! I also checked out the website for Lite-decking that "DaveNay" mentioned. That looks like a pretty interesting alternative -- does anyone have any experience with this product?
