The factory kit is an excellent idea, everything is designed to fit (not to say it will) in the space you have available. The L3400 operator's station is pretty cramped for space, I had to get creative to make everything fit. At the end of the day, it cost me slightly less than half what I had been quoted for a turn-key install job. That's not to say it's the same job, I don't know how their's would have turned out, although I think it would have been comparable to mine.

I am going to add a single remote to my B3030. It looks like I need a B7306 ( First position base kit and first lever) and a B7304 (Double acting valve). Assuming I have the parts right, can someone that's knowledgeable tell me how difficult this is to install? The dealer will charge about $300. I do all the maintenance on everything I own but have never rebuilt an engine or transmission. Is this something I'm going to absolutely hate doing, or if I can read/follow directions is it reasonable todo on my own?
Second question...for a hydraulic top link is it as easy as ordering a toplink and hose kit from some place like AgriSupply? Anything else I need??
