B3000 HSDCC Heat

Hi All.

I just got my used B3000 HSDCC delivered this week and was playing around with the heat controls.

I noticed that the air stream is pretty strong and its nice and warm... EXCEPT... for the right side vent.

It seems to be blowing cold air instead of warm air like the rest of the vents.

Is that Normal or is there some sort of problem with venting system that I need to check?

Sounds like an issue.

Do a search here, or on Google. Somewhere in my travels over the past year I read a discussion about this very issue.
I haven’t noticed any difference on my L4060.

Based on that thread, it seems the cold air blowing is normal.

I sure wish those pictures were still there.... I am positive it would make things even more clear.

On our B3030 cab model,the little side outlets will blow cold air and need to be turned off in winter.
The 3 front ball type outlets are warm.

Hi number two !

Thanks for that info. I feel better now that I know it's, more or less, "normal" for the side vents to blow colder air than the other vents.

It's weird that the right side vent is colder than the left side, but it is what it is...…..
