Agree, can't understand why the axle just wasn't made 1.5 inches longer each side. Installing/uninstalling the spacers each season will take a few hours, and you would have to keep switching the wheel studs too.

I'm going to see if I can rig something up this weekend, maybe the washer idea or a couple MM piece of metal. That'll give just a tad of clearance and hopefully not put undue stress on the axle or the wheel studs as the change is minimal....

A short piece of warehouse conveyer turned upside down or an atv jack make good tire dollys when moving those filled tires on and off.
