I've already spent the money on a box blade, now I figure I really need(ed) a dual blade grader. With the box blade it seems like I've already got most of the pieces needed to build a dual blade unit, 2 blades, 3 point hitch and structure, 2 box sides. Just need to lengthen the sides, add bottom runners, and move the blades. Right?

Sounds doable monte.
There were some threads about home made jobs about a year ago or so. Do a search and see what you come up with.

I've seen a few of the built from scratch dbg's, haven't found a stretched box blade one though.

the comercial version is called Grademaster.

seems simple enough to build...

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but here is one approach I saw here on TBN...sorry I forget the original poster so cannot credit him.

You could add some guage wheels to the BB and just make two passes.:D

Yeah, I've seen those and the Dura-Graders. More money than I want to spend right now. Trying to figure if it's worth modifying my BB since it's here and paid for.

I've seen another like that. I haven't gotten into adding additional hydraulic circuits yet. Those look like they'd work pretty well.

That's another approach I suppose. The dual blade units look a little simplier though. But then again, maybe I'm being simple.
