I try to avoid ordering from third parties on Amazon just because it is more complicated if there is a problem but I have ordered from third parties and not had any problems.
When I first started using Amazon, I made a mistake, even though I think it was partly the fault of Amazon's page design, and I ordered some DIAPERS! I was comparing prices of Amazon diapers vs local bought and somehow the diapers ended up in our shopping cart and eventually got ordered. The third party company did take the diapers back without a problem.
Technology wise I prefer to avoid being a Pioneer since Pioneers tend to collect arrows and I don't like arrow collecting. Well, a few years ago I made an exception at being a Tech Pioneer and ordered a Kindle Fire so I could get the electronic version of the WSJ. The electron version of the WSJ would, in a year, save me the cost of the Kindle. As I feared, I collected a bunch of arrows being a Kindle WSJ Tech Pioneer. Long story short, the problem was in the WSJ application but I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with Amazon support one Friday evening. Yes, I live an exciting life.:laughing::laughing: While Amazon could not fix the problem they sure as heck tried their best which is all that I can ask. In the end, the problem was resolved with the WSJ app by WSJ AND Amazon credited my account for the Amazon Prime service! Again, the problem was not Amazon's but they gave me some great Customer Support.
I just bought the latest Kindle 8.9 HDX and wow is it impressive. It weighs half what my Fire 7 inch model does and has better battery life. Awesome little system. My father broke down and bought one and he spent most of his time reading books on the Kindle as well browsing and email. Anyway, I was able to easily migrate most of my "stuff" from the old to the new Kindle. The only migration problem I had was with the saved WSJ articles which is not Amazon's fault.
Amazon scares me in how they get me to spend money.:laughing::laughing: We do buy quite a bit from Amazon because of they almost always have the lowest price AND we can easily order and get delivery to our door. For us to go to many stores in "town" it costs us a good $10 in gas so ordering from Amazon really does save money. I have to push the order button so we can get our next order on Friday.

I did get an Amazon CC since that saves us even more money...

Dan
