if square coil only, then get the 2.5 ohm version and use it with the oem dash resistor

Yes, this dizzy is the sqaure type. What I need to know is where the one wire on the back side of this dizzy goes

that post is not on the cap but on the coil itself. that is the wire that comes from the key switch, after passing thru the resistor.

you need to get a master parts catalog and a service manual.. will help you id parts.. make it easier to communicate..e tc. diagnose.. etc..
