5205 vs 5225

Y'all:

What do you think about these two tractors?

the 5205 is the big boy of a smaller series and the 5225 seems to be the small one of a bigger series.

They both have roughly the same horsepower.

I need it to spray with booms and go through the right of way and mow some rough brush in AL.

I went with the 5205 4wd with 522 fel & canopy and I am now regretting it..Wish I would have looked at another series or even a different manufacturer because the 5205 does not have enough low forward gears and most important of all, they are not syncromesh which means you have to come to a complete stop to move up or down in the gears (can not shift on the go, only forward to reverse in low range a)..

I think TSS Top Shaft Syncro is an option on most of the 5000 series tractors. I have a 5200 w/ TSS. Where in Alabama are you?

I live around Birmingham. I think that you can shift on the fly (using the clutch) on the 5225, at least that is what the salesperson told me.

I have come to find out that you can't get as many remotes as I need on the 5205. Even if you did rig them on there, now you've got something that's rigged and the extra cost gets you pretty close to the 5225.

I might just be trying to justify buying more tractor.
