Went today to see if I could trade for a new 50055E cab like what I have. There was 4 setting there and a massive puddle underneath one as I walked by. I walked to it and diesel fuel was dripping out of fuel lines somewhere. Dealer says, oh there was a leaker setting there before...I said yeah and its still setting there, that's coming from that new tractor. That really makes me feel warm and fuzzy about trading again. Walked in shop to see mine in 2 pieces, the clutch housing is about 18" long and had about 2" of oil standing in it from my mysterious leak. According to John Deere mine is the only tractor in the United States to have this failure.....I'm not buying it. Biggest issue for me is my 50055e is old tier 3 (no DPF), if they give me a new tractor it will be Tier4 which has the DPF. I really don't want my old lemon back though for safety reasons. I told him to move forward and see if they will trade even and they can keep mine. I hope I'm making the right decision.
